My Year of Service

The Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) Program seeks to serve and address issues facing our communities nationally and internationally.

I, Drew Hill, am excited to be serving in Washington, DC with the YAV program. I can’t wait to share my journey with First Presbyterian Church and the greater community, in the hope of showing the work being done to address the social justice issues in our country.

Fundraising

YAVs are expected to raise money, around $4,000, to offset the cost of hosting a YAV.

Fundraising plays a key role in helping YAVs create a network of support and connect their home community to their volunteer experience. YAVs are asked to invite others to walk beside them both through financial support and prayer.

The fundraising efforts reflect the belief that ‘we do not go alone’ and that we are called to be responsible stewards of our resources.
